With glorious views and a laidback charm, the hotel bar and terrace are just the place to while away an afternoon or relax after a busy morning in Torbay. We have three bar areas, with The Empire Bar being the largest. Whether your thing is craft gin, a pint of local Bays Ale or something from our carefully selected wine list, you are sure to find it in our drinks selection. We also serve lunches and light bites through the day.
Depending on the weather, guests and patrons are then free to choose a prime spot to socialise or just sit back and take in the view. Our terrace is just the place on a fine sunny day; or for winter evenings, little beats the cosiness of our lounge and a real fireplace.

Traditional South West Drinks
Rum & Shrub - Originally used during Rum smuggling days of old to disguise the taste of sea water let in from the perilous journey of barrels from ship to shore.
Brandy & Lovage - A traditional Devon concoction dating back some 275 years ago , imbibed as a 'Winter Warmer'.
Gin & Pink Cloves - Gin traditionally distilled from Devon Herbs and Spices with the rosy hue glow gained from the cloves.
